A small quirky and whimsical ink and wash drawing of a Hare with Charcoal and water soluble pencils. I’m always looking to develop character in my drawings of Hares, and this one such Hare, munching on Daisies, whilst keeping watch on his surroundings - this moves the drawing from an observational piece to a piece that also adds a moment of humour and joy to the viewers day. The marks reveal the sensitivity that I apply whilst creating the piece, and the subject matter uplifts you with the wit and beauty in nature.

This latest series of Charcoal based Artworks celebrates the beauty amongst our local Wildlife and introduces their energy through the materials used to describe them. I found that the beauty of nature became amplified through the past year of lockdowns and restrictions because the noise of the world, both audible and visual, was diminished, and this inspired me to create this new series which I hope you will love.

About the Artwork:
Original and expressive Charcoal and Artgraf (ink block) drawing using sketchy and confident marks and smudges revealing the energy, emotion and processes in the making of it. A fine brush and water soluble pencils add details and liveliness to the Artwork. Drawings are approx 14.8cm x 21cm on 300g watercolour paper and will be sent to you matted (mounted) in an 8" X 10" (approx 20 x 25cm) off white mount as shown, ready to be installed in a standard frame. The drawing appears 14cm X 19.5cm in the mount and will be packaged in a cardboard large letter box with a certificate of authenticity making it suitable as a gift.
