Original expressive landscape painting of dry wheat fields at the end of summer, 15cm x 15cm, inspired by the British countryside. The crops glow white and gold in the bright rays of the afternoon sun as the viewer glances past scrappy, grassy boundaries to a field of wheat beyond. 

The style is energetic and textured with visible mark making using palette knives and brushes; the marks and scratches reveal the vigour with which it was painted. Part of a series of small expressive landscape works produced in November 2018.

This particular Artwork is provided ready framed in a 12 mm wide black wooden painted 'tray' frame and the overall dimensions of the framed piece are 18.5cm x 18.5cm

Painted using Artist’s liquitex acrylic paint on 4mm canvas board, ready to hang with an acrylic matt varnish finish.
